Default Best game ever?

It's not easy to answer

In strategy games I like Cossaks (all versions), American Conquest, Stronghold ... I did enjoy Age of Empires I and II, But not III

In simulation games I dont know which one is the best! I like SimCity4, Transport Giant, Flight Simulator

Frankly sometimes I am confused what game to play when I want to have some fun. I can spend hours playing any of these, sometimes I take my dinner while playing :p

Tetris has to be the most addictive game ever if you don't count World of Warcraft, on the Nintendo Gameboy (I had a yellow one).

I wanted to include Counter Strike but it is overun with kids now, and after a while playing in a CS Clan just isn't fun anymore.

Speaking of WoW, does anyone play? I don't but I'm curious as to why it seems to be so addictive. MMORPG's are very interesting concepts but I couldn't be interested long enough to keep playing. Also don't you have to pay subscription fees to play ever month?

I dabble in EVE now and then.

Those sorts of games do seem to be growing, SecondLife for example. Sony adding that lobby type interface to their online play (for PS3 of course) is similar to SecondLife.

I guess these are the ones I REALLY don't get, why spend your time copying your apartment online and meeting people in electronic coffee shops when you could go outside and do it for real?

Yeah totally!

Thats why I like EVE.

It's sc-fi and has unimaginable depth.

As a kid one of the best games for me was the Mario Brothers particular Mario 3. As an adult I love the Sims. I can't play it though because I get lost for hours in the game. I'd be even less productive than I am already. Ha.
