My personal favourite is the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. With the 'Shivering Isles' Add-on.

But you'll require a beefy pc to run it with eye candy.

There's also Guild Wars: Eye of the North. This is an expansion though so you'll need one of the other 3 Guild Wars games to be able to play it. I'd suggest 'Prophecies' as this carries on where it left off. And Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II.

There's many an online RPG you can play as well.

I'm not looking for any online games, like Guild wars, and I once played guild wars, the graphic and animations are good, but I can't stand the game play anymore.

You could also try some servers on San Andreas Multiplayer, you'll find alot of roleplay servers on there. On most roleplay servers you could apply for jobs, for example, you could become some sort of a Police Officer, and patrol the streets. You could become a Paramedic, Doctor, Firefighter, you could also join street gangs, for example, the Bloods or Crips. It's loads of fun, you should try it.

I would recommend Oblivion.
I got around 150 hours out of it.
Maybe cos i suck at games.
But it is huge and very pretty and fun.

I know they're a few years old but Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 are fantastic. Great storylines, graphics and very immersive. If you wanted something newer it would have to be Oblivion.
