So, I see new games being released and I see the collectors version of them. Are these valuable? The only reason I can think of buying these, if of the potential price increase over time... Has anyone bought a previous collectors edition game and saw the value rise?

I personally didn't think that console games could be become valuable? I might be totally wrong though, I always thought collector's games were for people who liked to collect games. :D

They could become valuable, like everything I guess. A prime condition old console is worth quite alot, so I guessed that games would be worth a lot aswell. I don't see the point of these types of games though, unless you are investing in these for re-sale.

Do these collector's game's cost more to purchase? Also how do you know what will become collectable? I suppose it's big franchise stuff like Star Wars & Harry Potter them sort's of things. If I was a collector I would probably know this.
