Does anyone play this game? And if so are you any good, I am looking for someone who can give me some tips to be able to play better as I can quite ofternly get killed early on. (I only play against computers, but I play on medium difficulty (on easy it's way too easy )) If you play it and are willing to help me can you have a look at a couple of my games? If you can, can you let me know how you want the files sent to you, as these forums don't allow the file format.

I haven't played the Wrath of Kane expansion, but I have played all the others (including C&C 3 Tiberium Wars, guess I missed the Expansion release lol). The way I play is the following:

Figure out how many "waves" of attack you will have at each level and how soon the first one appears. Not as important on the earlier levels as the mid range and later levels.

Build up enough defense to fight off the first attacks while (with the least tecyhnology you can get away with) while grabbing and saving all the cash you can. Build at least two tiberium processing centers as soon as possible. Don't worry about building the higher level tech buildings until after the first wave (if possible, some levels you have to do it immediately just to survive) at which time you should have enough cash to slam them in one after another.

Keep an eye on your buildings during an attack, sell them if they are about to be destroyed (well except the Construction yard which cannot be replaced) so you get money for them instead of just losing them.

Place Gatling guns and and Sam's in pairs (at the minimum) with avenues of interlapping fire. Protect your laser towers with some sort of air defense.

Steal as much technology from the other side as you can, as soon as you can.

The AI will target you wmd's with THEIR WMD's so make sure yours are built at a time when you can get theirs before they get yours lol. Also use the airstrike and other goodies at the same time as WMD attacks to ensure you knock theirs out. Also in many levels, they won't build their WMD's until you build theirs, (this is not the case in the last stages of the game), so wait until you have a sizable force or some extra attacks before you build yours.

This is just a start. LOL I think I'll put Tiberium Wars on my new computer so I can remember more.

EDIT: I didn't complete my first point. There usually are a set number of attack waves and once you survive those you will be left alone so you can build your forces and just crush the enemy at your leisure.

i got the first one, tempted to buy the update.... there better be more vehicles in it though, thats what the last one lacked and size of maps.....

Thanks, Bubba, I'll try some of that, and mrdaveyk, there are more units, loads of them, along with 2 extra subfactions for each real faction with it's own specialities and units. Also, there are the great epic units, which, if used correctly, can slaughter your enemy itself lol

I almost picked it up today Thingie when I went out to buy a new hard drive and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky. The hard drive ran me move than I was expecting (300 instead of 200) so I decided to wait on the extra game lol.

i just build a base with allot of tiberium miners, sorround it with turrets and air defences then build a massive army and whipe out the enemy in one go. also for tougher enemies send swams of bombers to destroy their turrets and the things that create enemies.
