I saw side-by-sides of DX9 and DX10. DX10 didn't make it look much better.

its not mainly the graphics get better with DX10, it that more things can be done. like if DX9 a grenade my go off in the woods and not much more than the explosion would happen, but in DX10 the dirt would fly out from the ground, leaves would shake and rocks would move etc.

Positives about crysis are the great graphics and gameplay, well written story and the suit powers.

Negatives i would have to say is the shortness of the game (compared to far cry), lack of weapons and the terrible last level which completely ruined the gathering pace of all the previous levels!

All in all though it is a must play and highly recommended game.

you've got to be kidding.

WHAT STORY LINE?! there's hardly any story line whatsoever. i've seen better stories come out of a children's fable book.

crysis has graphics and nothing else. it's another veritable piece of CRAP that EA Games put out. yet another overhyped game that EA didn't put any effort into. it's just a combination of counter strike and FEAR, but with a lot more suck added in.

and what's the point of buying a game that requires you to spend another 400 buying a graphics card that can play it?

screw this. get Bioshock and the Orange Box.

LOL.

I just finished playing the game. I have to say I agree with link590o a little bit. It doesn't have a terrible story line, but it is kinda dorky. And the way they cutt off the game at the end I was like what.... what.... huh...
It was cut short that is for sure. The multiplay is alright but its not great. Powerstruggle I can't even figure out. I just try to kill people. Free for all is kinda fun, but I think Call of Duty 4 beats Crysis in just about every aspect.

how can you not understand how to play power struggle? to be honest, COD4 multi player is great, but Crysis beats it by a mile and more.

I havn't quite figured it out yet is what I mean. I am not sure exactly what to do yet. But will eventually.
Its not the greates multiplayer game but its not bad. I think cod4 does beat it though. Just look at how many people play cod4 compared to crysis. That should tell you how good a game is (and which one is more popular). It just may be that the cod games have been around for a while and crysis just came out but I think generally people like cod4 better than crysis.
I like both. Just I like cod4 better.
