Default Crysis Demo is Here.

Well people the Crysis Demo is here.
Anyone thats willing to give it a go now can.
Please share your thoughts here.
To help make the thread a bit more informative especially for prospective system builders can you please include your system specs what settings you run the game at and the approximate FPS you get.
Download FRAPS to monitor your FPS.

Am I impressed?
With the grahics not particularly, and the performance?
The gameplay though in my opinion is damn good!
Hooray something positive from me.
Please remember as I had to remind myself that there probably isnt a PC you could build right now that will run this game on Max everything.

NVIDIA seem to have had to rush out Beta drivers just today though so I expect/hope things will improve.
169.01 Beta Drivers

I guess all the hype this game has received could only ever end with some people being a little disappointed.
The anticipation is greater than the realisation and all that.

Anyway I will see what others have to say before posting more.

E6600@3.35Ghz
2GB DDR2 1066
8800GTX 768MB

Some results.
I tried a few different variations but found these settings to be about the best for me.It could have looked better or it could have run faster.
This gave a relatively happy medium.

1440x900 WS
Detail Medium
AA X4
25-45 FPS

Edited to add:
There are super secret(lol) benchmarking batch files contained in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis SP Demo\Bin32

Hi Necromancier.
Hey someone agreed with me about the graphics!
Though who would believe us looking at those screenies?
Really people they just dont look that great during play.
Probably because enabling any high AA sends the FPS plummeting.

your right krill.
AA just completely kills the fps.
it still looks okayish with everything on high (no AA) (those screenshots i posted were the ones i took using fraps in game), but when your playing the game, it just doesnt grip you graphics wise.
ive recently installed clive barkers jericho. and the way the different textures are used, lighting and the way the backgrounds look sort of fazed out until you look at them directly, you actuallly do feel as though your *in the game*.
maybe things will shape up on the release of the full version. and hopefully some better graphics drivers will come out. because those 169.01 drivers were simply rushed.

Yeah I played the demo of Jericho and the graphics are far better or what about Call of Duty 4?
I blame EA for yet again rushing things.yeah this game has taken ages to come out but why release sub standard stuff?
We can wait(well some of us can)lol
Just wait till the full game is released.Patch after patch after patch because EA rush out what is essentially a Beta.

Come on Mrdaveyk run some benchmarks!
There are super secret(lol) benchmarking batch files contained in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis SP Demo\Bin32
Press escape when it starts to loop and it will give you min/max/avg FPS for your current settings.
Also if you run the CPU benchmark you will get to see a Rocket Launcher.Wooooo!
