As far as I know this is a graphics card driver error, I had a simmilar thing in BF2142 with my X800GTO card, but I changed the drivers to the omega drivers, and seems to work now, are you on the latest drivers?

try right clicking on my computer/properties/hardware/device manager/then choose the display adaptor and right click on that and choose update driver, this should work.

The other way to do it, is to go to the manufacturer's website, and look for the latest drivers, and install them, if you allready have the latest drivers, it won't make a difference, if you dont have the latest drivers, they will be installed.

After that try the games again, if it still doesn't work, come back, and someone else can put forward a solution, as I don't know what else it would be.

80deg is still a lot, it is an ultra however.

Oddly, I've had the same issue in CoD4? Did you download 1.5 lately too?

to make sure you got the latest driver go to nvidia driver download and compare the date of the newest release

if you do it via device manager, not sure if only i get this, but vista will happily tell me i got the newest driver if i install from the cd or an extremely old driver

just check the webby dude.

also try some patches for the games, could be a bug or something, you'll get them at the games website

ok the problem persists the game froze and when i hit the power down button it whent to the desktop ok and then shut down, it did it once with cod 4 and when i rebooted the graphics isnt above 77 and also when i loaded crysis again and played for a while then checked the tmps they were 77 aswell, so is it a heat/game/driver problem? also is there anyway i can turn the fan speed up on the gfx

As for turning the fan speed up, you can download "Nview" from Nvidia and that will allow to overclock and etc. Once you get that installed you will be able to OC the fan speed. Hope that helps.
