The Sims 2 runs in full screen along with most of my other games.. I want -especially sims 2 because, well i dont no but it would be helpful- to run in a "restored down" screen, so as not to take up the whole screen.

just go to the shortcut on your desktop and in the command line parrameter at the end put "-w" without quotes and it will run on windowed mode, btw the res you set on the game determines the size of the screen so if you have 1280x1024 as the res and a 1280x1024 screen (like me) it will take up the whole screen pretty much.
