Ok so heres the deal, I have both Doom 3 and the expansion, Doom 3 installed without any issue but when i try to install RoE I get an error message claiming that its only compatible with Windows 2000/XP. My OS is XP Pro x64 so sometimes thats an issue with installing software but I dont see why the expansion wouldn't work if the original game did. I've already done plenty of web searching to fix the problem, one suggested to move some files from doom 3 to the expansion disk but i get a message saying that its read-only and cant be done. I've tried to disable the read-only setting but that doesn't work and I don't know how to fix that. The only other option i found was changing a line in a .msi file on the disk using this Microsoft program called orca (which I am not familiar with) but that wouldn't let me edit the part of the file i needed to so right now I'm at a loss on how to fix this. Step by step instructions or links always appreciated.

hi m8, i had this problem as well RoE wouldnt install said it couldnt find the orginal doom3 on my system even though mines the 32 bit version.
in the end i had to re-install doom on the c drive ( had it installed on the d drive ) as installing on any other drive stopped the expansion pack from working
so my question is is it installed on the c drive m8 if not then re-install on c drive and then try the expansion pack

hope this may help you

No it didn't say anything about not being able to find the original doom its saying its not compatible with my operating system, it is also on my C drive so that wouldn't be the problem.
