Hello,
I have installed directx 10 for xp over 5 times, it refuses to work, if I try to test it on Assassins creed I get the error:
The Application failed to iniialize properly(0xc0000005). Press OK to terminate the application.
I am installing RC2 Fix 3.
Oh and if your just going to say 'You can't put DX10 on xp' the don't say it.

umm...DX10 isnt supposed to be for XP. Unless your using some sort of DX10 hack for XP that is. But im not sure if we're allowed to talk about hacks here. I would have to get an OK from Dave to continue this thread further. Im sure though we all realize that there is no physical reason why DX10 couldnt be on XP, Microsoft hasnt released anything for XP giving it the ability of DX10. I'm not sure as to if putting DX10 on XP is illegal or not, however, the way one goes about doing it is most likily vialtaiong something in the process. Of course it is entirely possible for people to do this (i know a few who has sucsessfuly done it) im just not sure we can discuss it.

There is no way anyone here can give support for a small application like that, especially given the error's nature, contact the developers.

I will say though that trying to implement DX10 on XP is a hack and like all hacks it is prone to instability.
