Hi there, I borrowed this game off a friend at work to try before I buy. I installed it and it went to the choose EA profile screen, so I kept trying different profile names but it kept saying they were taken, even when i tried 'shroomoatruntothesun2007' !!! Eventually I found one that worked and it came up with something like, "This username is not valid with the product key" I sent an angry email to EA telling a little white lie, "I bought this game 2nd hand from a highstreet shop and it's telling me that the product key has already been used with a profile... of course it has, its 2nd hand! How can I get around this?" They wrote back saying I had to send off receipts and codes and bits along with $10 so they could send me a new code! Really annoyed about it 'cos even though I didn't buy it 2nd hand, I could have done. And people will when its been out a bit longer and people start trading it. EA could have thought about it better really. Anyone know of other ways? Or anyone know if this game is worth buying!? It looks fantastic, I loved the original battlefield and the StarWars battlefronts for PS2 / XBOX.

Cheers,

Kris

Oh yea.. after giving up with trying to play the game and trying all the different usernames that I could think of and it telling me they were unavailable, I checked my email and had 6 from EA telling me I had made a new account! So now I have 6 different accounts for a game I cant even play!

To be fair Kris with all the piracy around these days I think its pretty fair, at the end of the day you did borrow the game, so you haven't paid to use it online.

Fair comment, but what if I had of bought it second hand? I don't care about playing it online I just wanted to try before I buy, it's an expensive game at the moment. As it happens I'm going to buy it anyway as it does look good. I just think that EA will be flooded with complaints when people start buying it second hand unless the previous owner gives their login name and password with the game! Anyway, nothing lost nothing gained, i'll just wait til payday!

Cheers Dave
