What are your specs? I've heard that GTA4 is laggy, even on really high end computers. I think they've released a patch that fixes it, I'm not sure. You should try finding one.

Hey robina80 i know how you feel m8
Having got gta 4 for xmas i was delighted as i really enjoyed the other games in the series but after waiting ages for the game to install ,and then having to wait further for the patches to download and install i then had to go and join the social club, (more time wasted)
after spending ages waiting i played the game eventually,
WHAT A DISAPPIONTMENT!!!!!!
games slow when on foot, very choppy when driving,it freezes when you do a bit more than just drive
i know my system may be old compared to some on here but its more than enough to play the game and considering i can play crysis, farcry 2, warhead, and cod 4.all on high res shows this is a badly produced game/program from the start

MY ADVICE DONT BUY IT FOR IT THE PC

well dont worry you didnt waste your money. they wont leave the game buggy like this. if they didnt already they will release a patch for the game. meanwhile try lowering the draw distance, the biggest killer of performance

That maybe so iIop12 but i dont see why i should pay with my hard earned money for an unfit/rushed game, and am now forced to wait for "patches" which we will get "at some point" to actually play it
its just profit over quality to the customer

I completly agree. I would be really pissed of if that happened to me just saying don't panic. If you really want, return it and get fallout 3 or farcry 2
