I've heard about the new game Black Mesa. Don't post about it.
I recently bought Half Life Complete Pack from Valve (via Steam.) To my discontent both Team Fortress Classic and Half-Life (1) do not work (when they boot up it changes the resolution and shows a picture of Gordon or the [Heavy?] respectively, and then return to normal resolution and quit to desktop.) (Other Half-Life 2 Source games work great so I assume it does too) I rebooted my computer and changed compatibility on the executables (that launch the source engine) in the TFC folder to Windows XP Service Pack 2. This didn't work, so I tried Half-Life (1) itself and neither did it. I proceeded to submit a ticket to Valve via their support. After talking to a clanmate for awhile he told me that it was because vista loads 64-bit. He told me about how he uses a 64-bit mod for playing phantasmagoria 2 on his computer. I was wondering if anyone had a link to a Half-Life (1) Source Engine mod that let it run 64-bit. |

He right clicked on Half-life 2 and went to properties, then then went go to the Launch Settings, typed in 32 bit then clicked OK and the game run fine. hope this helps
