SPOILERS:

I felt the ending didn't fully finish the Flood or stop the problem of Halo. Sure firing the new ring destroyed the ARK, the new ring and the Gravemind, but what about the other Halo's? Surely there is flood on them too? And what about if the Covenant attack humans in a future generation?

my friend read the books. according to what he read there will be a 4th. and i will laugh cuz halo story just isnt that good. now, halo Custom edition remade by CMT did a good job at making more fun. heres what i mean (btw, still not a halo fan)
