Hello,
I have a problem with my windows vista pc. I have windows vista ultimate on my pc. It runs fine. The only problem is that my graphics card is not vista compatible. Dont want to upgrade just yet as in a few months DX 10.1 will be out and they say that most cards in the market now wont be compatible with it. Coming to the problem. None of my new games work on vista. COD 4, FIFA 08, even the older Oblivion doesnt work. Is this a problem with Vista or my graphics card? Will rolling back to XP solve the trick? Is there any way in which i can get them to work on vista? I have too many files and have grown used to Vista so rolling back to XP will be a pain. Plz help. cheers |

you could run VMware to run older games inside of a virtual windows xp system if they don't run on vista directly

i bought the 8600gt and everything to date works great. so i intend on not being drawn into the hype about all the new cards and 'must upgrades' i realize very few people agree, but i am not a fanatic gamer i don't think i will miss the 10.1 upgrade. i haven't read into it but im sure that you can still play games that use 10.1. although someone will have to clarify. but as for now mate if you want to play those games its either a very low res and quality or an upgrade. what card have you got now or is it onboard? My System: Mine
