Hi i started to love FPS's when i was about 12 playing random war games, i am now 17 and play in europian and world class tournements.

1. Pick a game - I play many FPS about 10 i am above average in all but i play only 1 competativly, pick one game and be dedicated to it.

2. Got the game... Now the equitment - As a PRO gamer i have high spec equitment, best to have a computer were you can max out the game at 125fps, a high speed mouse WIRED, with atleast dpi adjusters, weights, 2 side buttons atleast,

and a fast moving scroll wheel, a good mouse mat is a must! and make sure theres no chance of ur mouse falling of in game, WIRED keyboard as long as its got a fast response time and the keys are fast to reapeatedly press thats it, macro keys are a plus but they can be distracting, a good high res moniter, and make sure its big, widesreens are better to play on i find as it seems more realistic, a good loud set of speakers you must hear people coming, and a good high speed headset

What's the use in playing at 125fps?

I was under the impression that humans could only see something like 26fps?

No, over 60FPS is about where you start not seeing differences in smoothness. If you can have rock-solid 60fps you're usually good, always nice to have headroom of course.

If you can't tell the difference between 24fps and 60fps you're blind

Ok, I got that off QI, but it was probably just me misremembering basic facts..

And I don't really game on PCs (although I'm thinking about trying it out instead of the next generation of consoles) so I have never experimented with fps like that

lol i wrote this guide on ma psp, was going to be longer and since the is a char limit and it takes so long to type i reserved some space, ow and i didnt explain the 125fps well on COD4 if u run the game at 125 it allows you to jump slightly higher which allows u to get to a few secret bits, i will rewrite this guide when i get on a pc

my friend has a friend in the MLG (major league gamer) get paid to play halo. hard core shit. i was guna go to a FEAR competition but you had to be 18, and im not yet. i averaged 50-60 a game, often made 100+ kills. i was really really good at it. played it ever since 2005, and have loged over 1200 hours on single player alone. played it over 100 times. hardest mode. there has only been 1 man who was ever better than me on a regular basis. he got 120+ kills a game legit. i love FEAR. i made a little video a long time ago about multiplayer.

thats nothing compared to my friend Jeff, he loged over 22,000 hours on Pokemon. that is the saddist thing i ever heard in my life. and its true. he had all the proof. he needs to get laid. badly.
