| first of all i am so sorry that you bought this terrible proudct. i have had this one before and it is hard to set up, its slow and it regually crashes my internet connection. i really do reccommend getting a refund. however if you dont want to do this here is how u get it working, if you havent allready installed the software install it now. 1 - open the wireless utility (should be called ZDWlan utility or something) 2 - click 'mode' at the top and then select 'access point' 3 - click 'more settings' 4- click 'bridge adapter' then your internet connection (if you connect to the internet with usb it wont work) 5 - enable wep and set a password by clicking settings, when you are done click apply 6 - click off the wireless utility 7 - restart the computer 8 - test it only do the following if your ds says something on the lines of 'could not obtain ip' 1 - go into the control pannel, then internet connections, then right click on the wireless connection (wireless network connection 1), then click propities 2 - scroll down the list to internet protocol, select it then click propities 3 - select 'use the following ip address and enter the following ip address: 193.168.0.1 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 default gateway: 193.168.0.1 4 - while keeping the ip window open go to start, then run, then type 'cmd' and press enter 5 - type 'ipconfig /all' and press enter, note the dns server(s) of your internet connection 6 - go back to the ip window and enter the dns address(es) into the 2 boxes. here is an example of what it should look like: 7 - go into your DS'es connection menu, set up a profile for the wireless network 8 - go into the manually select ip address menu and enter 193.168.0.2 for the ip address, then 255.255.255.0 for the next then 192.168.0.1 for the next 9 - enter the dns ip menu and enter the dns address you entered on the computer 10 - restart the computer, save the connection profile on your ds then test it and hope for the best. you will have to manually set the ip for every device you connect to it, note that u cant use the same ip address for any 2 devices. so for example when you set up your next device you enter 193.168.0.3 then 193.168.0.4 and so on, but the dns, subnet mask and gateway will be the same. i really hope that works because i have spent half an hour typing this out ![]() |
