well the new psp has scanline issues with some games . i have a psp and i can tell you, its a piece of crap. i dont ever use it anymore. the ipod touch has internet, a great web browser i may add, music, video, photos, and loads of applications. if you really want gaming on the go get the psp. but i really dont think you will end up using it that much

They both do pretty much the same stuff but the PSP is expandable for more memory. Each has their own good and bad bits so it depends what you want to use it for.

Okay i have both.
Well... you can't crack/jailbreak either of them.
PSP is not for music. iPod is.
PSP is not for videos. iPod is.
PSP is for games. iPod isn't. (well there are some fun simple games)
If you have a router at home, i would say get an ipod touch.
iPod is cheaper in the long run, since psp games arent cheap.
i wouldn't use my psp for music, its very bulky compared to the ipod.
web browsing on the psp is a bitch.
neither of them have flash in their browsers.

I have a PSP and it goes everywhere with me including my 19 dvds and 13 games which take up less room then the PSP yet I'd still say go with the Ipod touch, it has more functionality and is lighter/smaller.

Edit: Just checked the OP and I'm guessing he'd of made his choice by now.

I'd get the PSP, as you can play much better games with better graphics, it has a bigger screen, cheaper and you can expand the memory by getting a new memory card anytime!
