War Rock is possibly the best free game out there. But I seem to suck at PC FPS games. I think I'll just stick with xbox 360 when it comes to shooters. lol
BTW: Someone mentioned Trackmania. Well, I recommend it. Its pretty fun. Its like driving around a Hot Wheels car on one of those crazy tracks. :P And as for the first post about Far Cry. I was wondering if that free version as online, and if so if people still play that game online. |

War Rock is an awful game, a lot of the players are arseholes and you will get called hacker and lagger pretty much all of the time. I've never known a worse community. Unless you want to be kicked regularly I suggest you don't play in CQC.
The game is pretty glitchy too and premium players (I can't believe some people pay for this) get a major advantage over free players which makes it tough to level up. If you want to be a premium member you are better off just buying Battlefield 2. (It actually works out cheaper.) This is coming from a person who has played International War Rock since it came out in late 2005. I don't play it anymore if you're wondering. |

I just recently put vista home premium x86 back onto my computer. So i installed some games again. I Downloaded the old beta demo for Unreal Tournament (just to try it out because im planning on getting it for my 360), americas army, and return to castle wolfenstein. I didnt bother to download war rock because i suck at it. I love return to castle wolfenstein and unreal tournament. But i didnt like americas army that much. It required too much patience. and thats patience I just dont have... I also downloaded Drum Machine. Its not really a game, but it lets you plug your rock band drumset into your computer and play it. You can configure each pad and even the pedal to be a different part of the drums. Its pretty cool.

I always loved Privateer, a space simulator/FPS type game. It was originally released on DOS and was impossible to run on XP. Some folks got together and recreated it with the help of some of the original developers. If I am correct, this version of the game is run by some real nutcases who think the game is like Holy Writ or something but there is also another version from Vega Strike where they added mods and actually expanded the game.
Holy Writ Version: http://priv.solsector.net/files.htm Much better, more fun version: http://vegastrike.sourceforge.net/getfiles/ EDIT: Privateer was part of the Wing Commander series. |

WTH? It took me over an hour to download Area51 last night. I wanted that game when it first came out but had an obsolete computer that wouldn't run it. Did they ever do a sequel for it? Or is it not that good?
