The lens of my PS2 scratches the CD's. Is my PS2 wrong, my CD's wrong or do I do something wrong ? Last edited by Dave Hybrid : 23rd Oct 2008 at 07:08 AM.

Try lying it down horizontally (or vertically) to see the effects.

Older PS2's had this issue when you would stand them up Vertically. Try changing it to horizontal, or take it in for repairs.

well if its happening to more than one game its not the games, then its the actual lens itself. It could be that the lens has been knocked off centered if you ever jerked your PS2 around, but i would guess its the PS2.

it is likely an older PS2 but if it is a new(ish) one then the drive component may have been knocked out of place by a bump or something. Also like the other people mentioned try using it upright or horizontal to see if that is causing the problem
