Modern Warfare 3 or Battlefield 3? What's Better?

So guys what do you think will win this years battle of the Games? I would say the safe bet is Modern Warfare 3 just because of the sheer size of its fan base, but Battlefield 3 looks absolutely insane and definitely looks like a worthy game to knock the Modern Warfare series off the top spot!

I've gone with BF3 purely because black ops rages me like no other game. I won't be buying MW3, especially since my ps3 is overheating =/

Battlefield 3. CoD is just running out of ideas, they make similar rehashed versions of the game every year. If you've played CoD 4, then you've played all of them imo. There was no reason to buy WaW apart from Zombies and Horde was better on Gears 2, MW2 was just CoD 4 updated, Black Ops is WaW updated. I want something NEW.

BF is different they make NEW game every 3-5 years. So start from BF 1942 was good, BF2 was amazing, BC2 was astonishing, BF3 should change everything. BF2 added modern wepeons, better maps, more vehicles and a ranking system. BC2 offered a Enviroment destructability (basically blowing up buildings), different game engine hence different feel and gameplay, different guns and vehicle and new ranking system. BF just offers much more playtime and playability because of the huge maps, vehicles and unlocks. And most importantly they don't suck your money by releasing similar copies every year.

Although I must say the learning curve is much steeper than CoD. I was a expert on CoD after playing it for 12 hours, I'm still a real nub on BC2 after like 50 hours of it.
Battlefield is just a hiddem gem of FPS, they deserves more.

MW3 will sell more copies overall, and it will by far outsell BF3 on console charts.

However BF3 will almost certainly sell more than MW3 to PC market; definitely outsell MW3 on Steam.


Just prediction of course, but despite agreeing with Anthony on CoD rereleases each year - they also rerelease a bestseller every year; it's one hell of a cash cow.

Battlefield 3 is going to blow everything out of the water. It has so many new features, I can't wait to play. The frostbite engine is extreemly powerful so there will be so much more opportunities do damage buildings and other objects. Finally we can prone too :D

There's going to be an open beta in October I believe, so that'd be a good thing to watch out for.

I think the Call of Duty series had its run. It was a great series, but the games are becoming too repetetive, now.

Battlefield 3 is really taking a new approach this year, which everyone loves. We all love an intense war game where you have to make decisive actions, and face the consequences of each action taken. Whereas in Call of Duty, if you screw up, it's no big deal; you just keep on going. You can't really screw up in CoD and have to face the consequences.

I think Battlefield 3 will win this war of shooters. Although MW3 may have SOME things better than Battlefield 3, it wont be as good as it. Battlefield's multiplayer is amazing. MW3 is good though.

Hello guys, in my opinion both games will rock this year at shooters category . Each 1 got its + and - . For example BF3 got a fresh new insane graphic and got the vehicles ( from cars to airplanes ) . BF3 got medium to large size maps and requires a lot of teamplay to win . BF3 maps require a lot of time to finnish and tbh its a war game . On the other side is MW3 , a game with small to medium size maps . A lot of guns , atachments , achievements , game modes , perks , customize stuff and things like that . This game do not require that much teamplay cause if you are skilled you can win it all by yourself . I really think both games will rock and i am gonna buy both of them to play.
By the way , which 1 of them do you think will have more "toys" to play with ?

I am planning on going with MW3 because i am one of the COD fanboys but from the footage and leaks on BF3, i am also gonna buy that game. They both look like great games and once they come out, i will play them to the max to see with one i like.

I like both games. I have fun playing cod but BF3 is where its at. Cod looks the same. Really it looks exactly the same to me. Battlefield looked real to me when I saw a few seconds of the tank game play video. Going with BattleField 3.

Right now i'm thinking that battlefield 3 is going to be so much better then modern warfare 3 and the entire call of duty series is starting to go down the drain because of the amount of crap that goes on in the games now and i think that battlefield 3 will lose the fight against modern warfare 3 because of the media and the popularity of the gaming franchise.

I liked black ops, i don't see why people give it hate?? it's not just an updated version of cod 5, it offered a lot of new things no one noticed. COD points, wager matches, 5 maps rather than 4 in a map pack, unique customization to your hearts content, what else COULD you offer new in a COD game? although I DESPISE the new MW3 because they are not offering anything new at all whatsoever and I get a boner that gets a raging boner whenever i see battlefield 3, but don't give black ops hate, it offered quite a lot of stuff EVERYONE forgot :P

Really? I didn't know that. It is my major issue with BF2. I have loved all the COD games through WAW. I didn't get MW2 because of steam and the no dedicated servers thing. I finally broke down and got Black Ops.

I never thought I would say this about a game, but I'm pretty bored with it. Usually I can find interest until I get EVERY challenge completed, but the ones in Black Ops are either stupid or set to high. 15 prestiges? Come on. By the time I got 8 I was ready to quit......... But I didn't. I got all 15. And THEN what happens? One you get 15 and 50, you don't earn any XP so you don't earn any MONEY.

1500 kills and god only know how many headshots with EVERY WEAPON? Most of the other challenges are totally random as well. It's a joke. I only play any more when my clan has a TWL match.........

Well the first reason why I think battlefield 3 will get better ratings and have more sales
then modern warfare is because people are just getting tired of Modern Warfare.
People want new things new ways to kill new guns and so on not just the same guns as the previous game just with a few more guns if it is pretty much the same exact game.
