Online graphics problem after update (print screen)

well iv bin playing this game for a while now with no problems.
till 2nite as i started up the game it installed an update (no info)
picked a server and started playing runs faster and performance alot better BUT now i have some kind of graphics problem (print screen above)

as you can see there is some colored lines and they clicker really fast at random times.. seems to be when i move fast also when i throw a grenade lines follow it and when it explodes instead of smoke there is lines and the trees on the game have bits of red blue ect on them. when of curse trees are green

the game is DAY OF DEFEAT
(steam account)
no changes to my hardwere ir drivers so i think it was the update on the game

eney ideas?

not even one comment..i normally get 1 even if the comment says i have no idea

DOD:S moved over to the Source 2007 engine, didn't it? Do you have these problems in any other Source 2007 game? (HL2:E2, TF2, Portal)? What graphics card do you have and are you running in DX9c or DX8?

yep, I'm having the same problem..
I'm using DX7
nvidea geforce mx420

it's worked perfectly fine with DoD in the past years with no screen glitch..

I don't own the source 2007 games...
they won't run on my comp.
they require high spec.

and using my dell dimension 4550,
it's difficult to upgrade graphics card.

Having the same problem plus some. It started right after the palermo update. Color lines, cubes instead of smoke, cubes when I fire. not easy to play with.

I have the Geforce 4 mx 420 as well, also when I load DOD, it says that I need to update my drivers for the video card, which I have done.

find any solutions?

cubes.. same here

my graphics card i a g force one but not sure on model so i cant upgrade my drivers for it but the game says i need to update the drivers.. there is one good thing about this problem.. when some one uses a smoke grenade i can see them in it as the smoke is lines to me

Grab a copy of Everest Home here and this should identify your Garaphics Card for you.

iv installed my drivers and also updated direct x still same problem BUT not as bad

Well, DOD:S moved over with a bunch of Source 2007 effects, which seem to have outpaced your graphics card. Nothing really you can do but hope for drivers.

thanks for letting us no :) thats abit crap as we pay for the accounts good job its my brothers not mine

still spoils my gaming
