Default PC games closing?

Ive have Battlefield 2 and Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 installed on my laptop which is running XP. When playing both games they run fine with no problems, but after playing Battlefield for 10-20 minutes or Red Alert for about 5 the game will just close?! No error or anything The games never used to do this, they have just recently started doing this. So any ideas what could be the cause?

Thanks

Have you updated any drivers recently or made any other changes to your PC around the time this started occurring?

Sorry for the late reply, Ive not updated any drivers unless the windows update has automatically. Only things I've installed are AVG anti-spyware, Kaspersky anti-virus and Comodo firewall. Without an error message im a bit stuck?! Any help would be much appreciated!

After just 5 minutes of gameplay? What exactly could be overheating and is there anyway to monitor the temperature? I have the laptop on a cooling pad aswell!
