Ok so, I'v been a PC gamer forever and i'v always considered Macs to be kinda like 'The others!!' And cus of that, i never really ever used them.
However, recenlty i decided to go out on a big of a spending spree for christams and i just happened to bring home one of the beautiful new 24inch iMacs (2.8Ghz Intel, 2G RAM, 500GB HDD Etc.) as a little present to myself! Anyway i'v been having great fun with it and all but i cant help look over at my pile of PC games that seem to be gathering dust and i wonder if there was anything i could do about it. So, the Bulk of my question is... Is there anyway, at all possible, to somehow get PC-ROM and PC-DVD games to run on an Intel based iMac??? Now i know this is a failry epic question and i have been doing a little research into things like EA's CIDER program which coverts pc games like this for Intel Macs but i just cant get it for love nor money! Alternativly, if the answer to my previose question is a straight NO, can downloaded ISO image files (ie Games) be mounted onto disks to run on Macs? I do it all the time on my PC, i just wondering if its possible for the Mac?? Ok, mission of a query i know, but - i really appreciate anyones help, insight or just genral knowlage on this subject. Cheers guys DT |

Even if they run I doubt the Mac will have the power to play the games, I don't think they have dedicated graphics cards.

There is no debate:
Gamer: PC. Net surfing: Mac Anything else: Either. All of the above: PC.

Macs are also very good for publishing, graphic design etc. and music production.
They are machines for the office not gaming toys.

I disagree, there is software for Macs that isn't available for the PC.

Ok, here's one, music production software.
Logic, arguably the best software for the job is used in just about every studio, college, school or whatever and is only available for Mac. |
