First things first, try an install repair if available.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Find it in the list, click change/remove and select Repair, if it's available. If not, or you've done this and its still not working, proceed to the second option.

Instead of choosing Repair, this time choose Uninstall, and then have a root around to check you can't find any left over files anywhere.

Then insert the disc again and reinstall.

If still no luck come back and myself or someone else will reccommend something.

I almost had the same problem, but a method like the one above fixed my problem.
