Default PS3 any good?

Just got myself a job. :) Gonna save up for a couple of months and maybe buy a PS3.. Anyone who is not a Sony fanboy, are they any good? I already own an Xbox 360 so don't go saying "Buy a 360 they're better." Thanks....

i have a friend who says his is just a expensive slower version of a desktop with blue ray, he said the 360's graphics is superior to that of ps3. but i couldn't say myself , never even played a ps3.

If there aren't any exclusives you care about, skip it. Most of the games will be cross-platform.

well grphics ARE better on 360 but ps3 processing power will flat out beat the 360's. resulting in bigger explosions, better frame rate in hectic games, bigger games, more players. plus you get a bluray player for free .

i am a 360 fan boy and will only buy a ps3 for a stand for my xbox but you can't deny the ps3 will win in a year or so. which is sad. but if you want big multiplayer fun buy frontlines fuel of war the biggest console game out. 50 players online. or the pc's 64 players online.

if you have the money then buy a ps3 but remember ps3 games are around £49 and xbox ones are around £39 so it will set you back in the long run but it is your decision.

If i where you mate id hold fire on getting a ps3 right now, wait until late summer, thats when the exclusive games for ps3 should have come out by, unless they hold out out for xmas, or yet another development delay, but for the future i think the ps3 will outlast the xbox 360 because of its design and techno, and with blueray as standard you cant really lose
BUT If you want online multiplayer id stick with the 360 as i dont think sony will ever match it,
me personally i dont like the graphics from the ps3, looks like they try to hard, the 360 graphics to me seem more realistic and theres a world of great games out there ( unlike the ps3) for it which makes it my fav for now,
