Hello everyone.

I am sure alot of you gamers are anticipating the release of the new Playstation which I would personally like to say "Looks fantastic!"

I have heard it is set to release around the Spring of '07 here, what about where you are?

I am thinking about purchasing it as rumour has it they lowered their starting price to $410 CAD which is the price of a XBOX 360 basically still!

Hope to hear, also when do the games officially release as PS2 still has new games coming out.

I have always preferred Sony consoles to any other, I very much doubt I will be purchasing one tho'.

They are going to be expensive and I don't really get the time anymore to play games, if I do i jump on the PSP for a few mins.

I've not heard of a release date but normally these things coincide with Xmas to sell more.

After christmass for PS3 in the UK. Their are two versions the cheaper one will not have WiFi and will have 20GB drive instead of the 60GB and will have black paint to make it sell cheaper. It's expensive but as a BluRay disk player machine it's a bargin as other BlueRay players will be more expensive and have no gaming hardware. Just got to hope BlueRay disks win the HD format war.

I really want to get the PS3 but from the rumored prices listed above it is way to expensive for me to afford. I think I am going to have to wait a few months for the price to drop which is a shame really, as I am looking forward to playing games on the console.

In the US the PS3 will be coming out next month (November) just in time for Christmas and will be out with a $600 price tag (the basic system will run for $500).

Looks great and I'm sure the games will be great but just not worth that kind of cash even if it does have a Blue Ray player.
