Hi guys...does anyone already have a PS3? I'm looking for suggestions...I don't know wether to buy it now or wait a bit more for the price to go down. From what I hear the current games have great graphics but they're not as good as expected...

So - to buy or not to buy?

I havn't played on one yet, but my work has one.
Our bosses excuse was to "test" the TV monitors.
I'm not too sure at the moment, i prefer the Wii.
At christmas time, it should drop a bit.

To be honest I don't think it'll be worth getting one. Not until the price drops a way bit down first. I haven't (in my opinion) seen many decent games on the PS3 (exception of Resistance) that you can't get on Xbox 360. I just feel that Sony crammed too many things into the PS3 and that's why its a commercial flop. Still, if the price comes down, go for it.

The 60GB version is now just £349 with 2 games.
The 40GB one is £299 without any games, so the 60GB one makes sense.

However, when the 60GB ones are sold out they will not be manufacturing anymore, so soon only the 40GB ones will be available. So if you want the back compatibility then you'll need to buy one sharpish

Well it depends on peoples opioion really, me myself would go for the xbox 360 and i did and have one and love it :D, but i have heard quite a few bad reports on the ps3, and its quite high price which i believe will proberly go down for christmas, but i have seen quite a few games which the ps3 offers and the 360 doesnt which chould attract me to buy one.

But if you like playing all the olde sony games, then if what skinnyman9000 is true and the 60gb ps3 is only selling what it has produced then id be quick, is it true that only the 60gb has backwards compatibility?
