Neither get a Lynx..lol...J/k
I have never played on the PSP, but tried the DS for the first time the other day and I thought it was pretty crappy, I was playing Yu-gi-oh something 2007 and even with the crappy graphics it had it was still sluggish

PSP graphics are pretty amazing for a handheld, I was shocked when I first used one.

Yes, i agree with dave the psp is better by far. you can also use it as an mp3 player and a video player. and with home brew apps you can do all sorts of things like use it as a remote. IMO get the psp for sure.

Personally I think the Nintendo DS is aimed at the younger, teenager market.

PSP is for more serious gamers and the DS at younger people, much like the other Sony/Nintendo consoles.
The DS is good in the fact you get two screens to games, making role playing games interesting, but the graphics on the PSP are stunning for a handheld, very similar to a PS2
