Sort of. Go to the photo channel, and start a slideshow. You can then play music from the sd card onto the slideshow, and I believe some games such as Excite Truck allow custom soundtracks aswell. I hope I helped. :D

Yes you can, so far only in excite trutck it's the only one I worked on it worked, but yes you DO need an SD card. when you start the game a scrren would pop-up and say something like "we have located an Sd card do you wish to open" then it will ask you yes or no, if you say yes it would go to your music and then you clikc on it and press add to game.

The only problem appears to be how to get the mp3 onto an SD card.

To my reckoning you would need something like this;

You could compile an album on the pc then transfer it to the stereo and then load the tracks on to the SD card.
Most new computers have multiple card readers, but readers are all they are not recordable media via the pc.
That stereo appears to let you record to SD.

A bit long winded but I can't see any other way.

Details on the stereo here

I just tried to send an MP3 to the SD card in my printer, but I couldn't seem to do it.

I've had an MP3 player with an SD card slot for about a year, but I have yet to use the slot. I also have a laptop with an SD slot.

I thought it would be just a case of right-clicking and sending, or dragging and dropping. I'm using XP Pro.

Any thoughts on this? Sorry, I have no suggestions for getting music onto the Wii. :o

If you put it in your laptop, you should be able to reformat it.

Just go to My Computer-> Right-Click on the Card Name or the Drive it's in (i.e. F:)-> Format

Then give it a shot

I use the palm software that comes with my Treo to do it. You may have to get software to actually do it.

I would really love to see some more functionality out of the Wii. I want to be able to play my friends over the internet. I want to be able to play music. I want a Wii keyboard to make typing easier.

You don't need a Hi-Fi lol.

A £5 USB card reader will do it.

You CAN copy to a SD card via a USB card reader or ports on the PC.

I copy MP3s to mine most days using a USB card reader, then put the card in my car head-unit.

It's called a reader but allows writing also.
