Default race driver grid

I am tryin to install grid on my 2nd pc to try lan play, but when i try to install i get this error. It works fine on my main pc and it a proper copy. Any ideas whats causing it?
Spec
Athlon 64 4000+ dual core
2 gig ddr 400 ram
Bfg 7300GT gpu
Win XP

Not sure why that is happening but you could try installing it in safe mode maybe that will work!

tried safe mode still the same, i just been on you gamers to get a benchmark and its failing on the 7300GT graphics card. but the min spec is a 6800 or above so i confused with that.
I dont think its the disc as it reads ok when playing on my main computer.

You could try swapping the graphics cards in the computers and see if you can install it then, then swap it back when its installed!

Do a system restore to an earlier date. i have had this error numerous times. it has to do with your CD/DVD drive. its a real pain. I found no other solution that to do what i have said.

cheers for that chaps, but it still the same, with system retore and changing my 7300GT to my 9600GT.
Bit of a pain then, think i going to swap hdd over and load it on with main comp, then hopefully when i replace it bac in 2nd pc all works fine.. mm

i doesnt literally have to do with the CD drive. its more the OS fault. but for me system restore did fine..

I tried a dif dvd drive but same.. i uninstalled second IDE in device manager then reinstalled still no go, so i now off to swap HDD's fingers crossed it works.
Will post back.

its not the drive itself, its the OS. you need to fix the OS by undoing the settings you messed up (which in this case you wont know what you changed) i never asked, but is this error only when you try to install the game or is it with everything?
