You had a PS1 when you were little? Some people are just born into wealth and luxury, that's all I can say. When I was little all I had was a stick with a horse's head carved in one end, that was my one and only thing to play with. I didn't even have a hat. I had to stay in at weekends because I had no hat to go out in and it would have shown us up in front of the neighbours. I mean, none of us kids had shoes to speak of, not for going out playing in, but all the others had a hat each. I bet you'd not even know what to do with a stick with a horse's head carved in one end, would you.

When I say little, i mean like 7 or 8. My parents and grandparents and great grandparents and probably most of my other family grew up in a very similar situation to you. My family tell me about playing with a bike that had no pedals, found by the side of the road, and having no shoes at all to wear for anything and definitely no hat. I appreciate how lucky we are to be in the situation where we could afford a psone when I was 8 but that fact alone does not mean I was born into 'wealth and luxury', just an average family. I appreciate everything I have, and had I been 'little' in the situation both you and my family were I would appreciate the fact that I had a roof over my head and passable food and water. Its just the way things go, and I feel just as strongly about the incredible injustice as you do.

That's very properly said.

The only outstanding question is why you're still up at twenty past two on a Monday morning, I suppose.

You were bl**dy lucky .... therer were 8 of us, we all lived in a shoe box and had no luxuries like a stick with a horse's head carved in one end ... if we had, it would have been used as firewood to keep us all warm with temperatures at minus 60.
No clothes, no toilet, just a hole in the field.
You were bl**dy lucky

Just for comparison, this is the first recording from before Monty Python happened. One of the four is the same in both performances.

I tried embedding and got nowhere. Lack of FAQ, that's all.

That's the extremely dead Graham Chapman who's also in the first clip with Terry Jones, Michael Palin and. Eric Idle. I always had it in the back of my head that Tim Brook Taylor wrote it but I could be wrong.
