The sketch was originally written for the British television comedy series At last the 1948 show by the show's four writer-performers: John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Tim Brooke-Taylor, and Marty Feldman. The original performance of the sketch by the four creators is one of the surviving sketches from the programme and can be seen on the At Last the 1948 Show DVD
Monty python performed it during there live shows from 1974

Yes, I read that. I'm not sure I believe it but I'd need to find the DVD insert to remind myself.

I just realised we hijacked your thread a bit here redden137 .... sorry about that, us old farts like to reminisce, so to get it back on topic this was another of my early computers the Dragon 32.

Spot will probably remember this, as it was made in Wales, by Dragon Data, a subsidiary of Mettoy.

I played Donkey Kong on this till I was asleep.

They were available everywhere as far as I recall. I seem to remember buying mine in Dixons in London.
It was a great machine similar to the Tandy TRS-80 Color Computer at the time. It came with 32mb Ram and you loaded programs and games in by cassette tape. Also had a cut down version of M$ Basic built in on a ROM. No monitor, it just plugged in the TV.

I didnt think they where thay wide spread and thinking about it my cousin had a dragon 64 not a 32 but i may well be wrong and i never had one as i had the commodore 64 plus 4 at the time waiting half an hour for games to load from a tape

I think the company went bust fairly quickly, so after that, they had a bit of a cult following.
A lot of the Tandy stuff, games, hardware etc., was compatible, so although Dragon Data was gone .... the machine lived on.
