I think whatever Dave said back in '07 or whenever worked.

It was something to do with changing the comand line in the application shortcut.

hi razor, ollie, here i am, and no, i haven't forgotten my username, quite the contrary, i've been patiently waiting for an answer.

i'll try mounting the iso, and as a plan b, i'm downloading the image again from other users, to see if that works because i've got another probem as well, i can't seem to install any expansions. they all ask for the 4th installation cd of the game, which i've downloaded and burned, and mounted virtually as well, but when the expansion installer starts running it (it's supposed to be an update task), when the progress window says bodyshop the whole installation says it's got an error and cancels.

anybody know why?

Sorry about what I said then! It's just we have a lot of people who ask a question, and then never return. So half the time we don't know if we give good advice or a load of --!

No, it's all good advice

Just to warn you though - Downloading an .iso torrent of a computer game is illegal, and neither this site, forums, nor any user on them will assist you in any illegal activity.

But, anyone will be happy to help in burning an .iso from your own paid for disc, for your own personal use.

Let us know how the installation from hard drive goes.

Downloading an ISO apparently is fine as long as you use your own product keys, saves money if you wrecked the disk or something.

Lots of people do it for OS' to get rid of bloatware. Is better to get one from a shop though by a long shot. Myself, or Computer Juice, do NOT condone or encourage any form of piracy.

Uninstall the lot of Sims games then re-install, should flush out any issues.

Sims has a long history of problems when using multiple expansion packs anyway..

It's trial and error really, can be very temperamental.
