Default Sims 2 - Game Crashes After 30 Minutes - Toshiba Satellite A200 Laptop

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 laptop, and whenever I try to play the Sims 2 (lame I know, but still), it crashes after 30 minutes or so. Does anyone know what could cause this? could it be the graphic card? it's an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 graphic card, and the system requirements ask for:
ATI Radeon(TM) series 8500 or better (9600 or greater required for Vista)
8500, All-In-Wonder 8500
9000, 9200, 9500, 9600, 9700, 9800
X300, X600, x700, X800, x850
X1300, X1600, X1800, X1900, X1950
Or could it be that the computer's overheating?
Also, it works on my old laptop, which has a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 graphics card... but I'm going to lend that laptop to my friend... could I/a computer technician swap the graphic cards somehow?
sorry if this is too specific to answer

Could be a heat issue, you could try elevating the back of the laptop slightly so that the fans can get more air. If it stops crashing then you know its a heat issue

If that's inconveniant having to prop it up all the time, you may consider a laptop cooler, I've not used one but no a friend that's fallen in love with his, says it works so much better now.. might be worth a look.
