haf life 2 is one of the best rated games so i downloaded it through steam, i just wanted to know can i launch it without steam so i can use the console for cheats?

nevermind i got it to work and you can launch games outside of steam but cant install it without steam.

you go into the steam folder then steamapps the username then there will be the .exe file for the game.
