Hi, does anyone not use vertical sync while playing a game. If so, why? I use it all the time since it stops tearing. Are there any advantages of using vsync?

Depends on the computer. I always use vsync because i cant get my parents to give me some $ to build a better computer. And, well, you stated the advantage of it: It stops tearing :)

i use it. without it what are your advantages? frames rates too high for your eyes to detect a difference? pshaw. with it on you have the plus of no tearing. so think about it, advantage or no advantage. its very simple to me. so i vote yes, use it.
