| i don't know much about warhammer. but i know of a similar game which has very similar gameplay. Flyff is a decent mmo. but it's korean so there are insanely difficult leveling requirements and severe penalties for death.

when you reach roughly level 50 in that game, it reaches a point where you're getting so little exp it starts losing its appeal. and the penalty for dying in that game is you lose 5 exp points. the way it works is you have to accumulate 100 points. and when you're level fifty, you'll fight monsters that are 12 levels higher than you, and only get about 0.2 exp per monster. so you'd have to kill 500 of the damn things to level. and you can delevel. so you could have just reached level 51 and had 0.36 points out of 100. then die, and lose 5 and have to kill a whole bunch more monsters just to reach level 51 again. unfortunately, the reality is that WoW is the best mmo there ever was, and likely ever will be. warhammer was meant to replace WoW but there isn't a broad user base at all. not a lot of people like it, and it was more of a flop than it was a decent game. honestly i wouldn't bother with any other mmos because there are so few good ones.
