...IV: Oblivion. Xbox 360 version???? Im playing the game for awhile now, and i got to a quest where i need to pick a lock. Normaly i have lock picks but i ran out. I need to complete the quest, but i cant find any other lock picks. Ive been to ever vender in the imperial city, none are selling them.Does anyone know where i can get a decent supply of Lock picks. Im only level 3, ive heard about the skeleton key, but no idea how to get it or when.

I know this isn't going to answer your question but I am having the same problem you are. Most treasure chests and some doors in dungeons and caves require lock picks and I can't keep them stocked.

You just find them in chests and drawers... Once you find one, do the following...1. make sure you have like 100 arrows or more2. have a bow3. equip bow and aim at the ground4. pull right trigger but dont let go5. hit the y button as you hold right trigger6. go to the arrows you already have equipped and select them. it will say something like "you can't change while attacking" or whatever, its ok...7. then goto your lock pick(s) and hit x button to drop 8. hit b button and return to fire arrow... when you do, you should then have a bunch of lock picks on the ground.. this also works for other items as well

Loxk picks are difficult to find but you can buy them from Armand Cristophe in the thieves guild for 5 gold each. Just join the thieves guild and he will offer to. You can buy as amny as you want.

if you are in the Imperial City, you can become a member of the thieves guild and buy them right from Armand, the guy who you first talk to in the guild. With that, any fence of the thieves guild will sell you lockpicks.You can also find them in random places like dungeons and on dead enemies.If you have a big importance for lockpicks, my best suggestion would be to complete the Shrine of Nocturnal quest. Even though you have to be at least a level 10, its worth it because finishing the quest gets you the Skeleton Key(an unbreakable lockpick) and fortifies your securities skills by 40.
