Default +12V far less then what its ment to be.

just been tinkering with my computer, and noticed that on everest it shows my +12v from psu being 4.86, now i know your all going to say what PSU have you got and what you got running so here it is:

PSU: 300W
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+
3 X 80mm fans (2*1W Connected directly to PSU, 1.1W one to mobo)
120mm Fan connected directly to supply (2.2W)
1 DVD-RW
1 Sata
and a tv card

is the lack of 12V telling me to change my supply?

What readings do you get in your BIOS? I'd rely on those over Everest.

If this were the case your computer would not be working.

Wattage doesn't matter, though, so if you're going to tell us the PSU give us the brand name at least.

Also, what make and model motherboard do you have? There may be an aplication for it that will give you a nore accurate reading than everest. Everest is a very handy program indeed but is quite old and was only really written for 32 bit cpu's. :)

Also, try using a different program too, soemthing like CPUID Hardware monitor, see if that gives you the same readings.

I cant find any applications on the ECS website. As Dave Hybrid says, it the voltage was really that low your pc wouldn't work.

One thing i will add, i personally wouldn't run an AM2 system on a PSU as low as 300watts. I recommend you replace it with one of 450watts or more.
