heyy there
this might be a really stupid question but ill ask anyways ![]() my case has 4x 80mm fan grills/holes or whatever you wish to call them, is it worth using 80mm to 120mm adaptors? my fans make quite a lot of noise as it is, despite my efforts to make them quiter. im also trying to increase the amount of airflow throughout the case. would the adaptors make much difference? or wud they limit the amount of flow? cheers, MCTW |

well you could do a 9v mod to your 80 fans? i use a 120mm adapter on my cpu and it wispers
because the 120mm fan has to blow tho a 80mm hole the air movment is pritty strong as its trying to move alot of air tho the 80mm hole is there no way u could make the case hole a120mm?saves you an adapter then and space![]()

ive already thought about the 9v idea. im going to buy a fan controller at some point, as a lot of the time my pc isnt working very hard, so no real need for the cooling to be at full. and as for expanding the holes? i reckon i could, but i really dont dare, as its all perspex case :P ive worked on perspex before, and it has a habit of cracking. might go the adaptors if it doesnt restrict the airflow to much.

Uh, a 80mm opening is going to be an 80mm opening unless you go in there with a dremel. A 120mm fan is going to spin slower than the 80mm, so it will be much less functional than just putting 80mm fans in there in the first place.
