i have searched on Ebay and mapins.co.uk but am unsure witch leds do what i want and am not too sure how to wire them up correctly as they have a 3 pin connector.saying that i am handy with a soldering iron.
can anyone help me find a small colour changing led at a sensibble price in the uk as am not the best of people at searches

a 3pin LED is 2 colours, the central pin/leg is the ground, which is common for both. the pin on each side is the postive for each colour. im curious, how do you intend to control these?

Why not just bunch a couple of LEDs together, and then control them as one, ie. a colour changing LED.

If you're handy with a soldering iron then, why not build a little 555 timer circuit to change them between colours.

I know bi-colour and tri-colour LED's but how you would go about wiring and programming these, I don't know.

sorry about the late reply.
it sounds complicated programmers/ 555 timers and so on.. i was really looking for a led that i can just feed power to and it will go thou a colour changing cycle without timers and so on. am searching ebay.uk for some but no such look
