My son has built his Pc into a desk unit & is fed up with crawling underneath to boot it up.

He wants to fit a switch to his real desk top just to turn it on.

Any ideas??

Every motherboard has two pins that when shorted power on the PC. That where the button on the case leads to.

You could get an old case, rip out it's switch/lead and extend it, then connect one end to the mobo in place of it's current lead and place the button end on the new desk.

You could also rip out the current one from the case and just extent the lead.

Rip out the current and extend the lead 961 this will be simple but will fix your problem or he could go into the BIOS if the mobo has this option and set it to boot up (power on) with a certain word a apssword typed in the keyboard then hit the enter key.
