UPDATE
I dont believe it, i really dont, had a call from my m8 earlier in the day( the psu fiddler ) saying his pc is not working now, asked him what happened to it and he said hes o/c it, which worked, but now it wont boot up so im round there sunday
I HATE TO THINK WHAT HES DONE THIS TIME!!!!!!!!!

Eh, he probably just upped the FSB to like 900. Simple CMOS reset should fix it.

Right thats sorted, all ok now he had set the fsb to 220 and it worked for a bit untill he upped it to 300 (leaving the ht at 4x and multipler at 12) and also fiddled with the vga and of course it wouldnt boot, so re-set bios (now with a password) and given him a limited account after verbally slapping him round the head for awhile,
his system if any one interested is
ecs nf4 939
amd 3500+ stock fan
512mb kingston value ram 2x256
6600gt 128mb
450w jeantech psu
plus the norm hard and optical drives
