i have the choice of the Enermax Galaxy 850W or the 1000W
i feel that the 1000 watt would be overkill and some money thrown away..
so what i would like to know if possible... =)
is would the 850W be able to run 8800 GTS in SLI and a AMD phenom 9600+ black edition or Intel q6600 and 2 western didgital HDD 10k rpm
or do u need to know more?

i would like this psu to be fairly future proof...

Enermax Galaxy 850W will handle pretty much whatever you throw at it

Good choice Craiig.

I had the 850 until it got rained on (long story). Had a X6800 oc'd, p5b, 4 hdd's and various cards in and out of the build. Never put a foot wrong.

Unless you're going for a full-blown liquid cooling setup with SLI and a quad with a couple of pci cards, big ng controller, the 1kw version of the galaxy is overkill. Even then the 850w would cope.
