i have the choice of the Enermax Galaxy 850W or the 1000W
i feel that the 1000 watt would be overkill and some money thrown away.. so what i would like to know if possible... =) is would the 850W be able to run 8800 GTS in SLI and a AMD phenom 9600+ black edition or Intel q6600 and 2 western didgital HDD 10k rpm or do u need to know more? i would like this psu to be fairly future proof... thanks in advanse, and thank you for reading. Enermax Galaxy 850W will handle pretty much whatever you throw at it

Good choice Craiig.
I had the 850 until it got rained on (long story). Had a X6800 oc'd, p5b, 4 hdd's and various cards in and out of the build. Never put a foot wrong. Unless you're going for a full-blown liquid cooling setup with SLI and a quad with a couple of pci cards, big ng controller, the 1kw version of the galaxy is overkill. Even then the 850w would cope.
