right i know i have asked this alot but i finally got the money to buy a decent psu and the one i wanted wasnt released yet ... but now my exams are over and i have 300 quid neatly tucked in my pocket .. if my memory servers me right this is the powersupply i previously wanted
here
just need to double check it will be ok for what i need
needs to be able to support all this
amd or inter quad cor
compatible with all mobo's
2 hard drives
4 gig of ddr3 ram
top of the line graphics card
2 optical drives
and all the other computer stuff (lol)
this seems like my best bet as ernemax seem to be reputable just need a few reasurances before i go ahead and finally buy
thanks

That is a fine power supply. You will have no problem running what you want with it.

However, it is probably a bit OTT. You don't really need that much power. You could save yourself some money and buy a slightly less powerful one that will still be more than powerful enough.

Couldn't agree more.

Cew: You'll have about the finest psu on the market today if you purchase. But it is well over the top of your power needs for that build.

For that build I'd estimate 650w maximum. (These sort of power psu's have higher ampage ratings on the 12v rail. Which is necessary for high end graphics cards). Your system won't physically needs 650w to run but the ampage ratings will come in handy for a decent gpu.

Why not save some money and go for the Infiniti 720w or the Galaxy 850w. Check your case though, to ensure the psu will fit (for the Galaxy's) as they are rather long.

That one is better but still probably a bit OTT but not so much.

I am pretty sure that it will fit in your case but don't hold me to that.
