Hey, first off I want to check I'm right in thinking that there's no special fittings required in a case for WC and that potentioally any case could be fitted with it?

Presuming that's right, do you reckon I could fit it into a Sonata?

I've never watercooled before and I'm doing it more as a gimicky aesthetic type thing than because I need it, but I'm not sure of theres room.

Obviously theres room for a reservoir, I have several free drive bays, but where does the pump and radiator go? I presume on the base of the case.. but how does it sort of secure itself? And would there be enough room for it to dodge all my PCI's etc..

Thanks, Ollie the WCing noob

Watercooling is a tricky thing to play with so be careful!

The pump and radiator go in various places depending upon the case and such.

As far as tubing goes you often get enough tubing and some surplus in the box with your cooling kit so nothing to worry about there.

Not much of a watercooling guy so that's all I can say!

So would not all cases have one of these places?

If so I'm guessing mine doesn't - it's not exactly high-end.

No, they often just get put where they can from the few projects I've seen. It should fit somewhere, sticky tape will solve that! =P

Excellent.

Just need the money now - maybe I'll start a charity "Fordy's Less Economically Developed PC Needs"

Ya gotta get "the children," little puppies, or kitty cats in there Ollie is you want that charity fund to get off the ground.

How about "The little kitty Less Economically Developed PC Needs, Fordy Chilren funded by puppies?"

Get it? Fordy (for the) children yuk yuk?

Seriously though, when you do your WC, give me a blow by blow of how it goes. I'm curious about the process even if I'm not even remotely interested in installing a WC on my system.

If you're going to attempt water cooling in a Sonata, you need to be DIY handy. Like cutting holes everywhere, probably chopping large parts of the case out to fit the radiator in, etc etc.

Its not simply building a kit, you have to design and engineer the kit first.

But it is great fun, but I prefer spending other peoples money on projects such as this, even if I don't get to keep them.

yeah if you dont have WC hole you will need to drill some for the tubing. it will be expensive though. why do you need watercooling?

I don't need it.. I just want it

It's not too bad actually I roughed up an order and it came to £192

Why do I need to drill holes for tubing??
