Hi, I have an " I.T Works" Computer its fairly old now 5 / 6 years i think .. Came home the other day went to turn it on and it started then just turned its self off after 4/5 seconds and now wont even turn on no more .. Ive taken the casing off and when i put power to it the fans try to turn but just rock back and forth.. Any suggestions on what to do or the problem could be?!

Again i dont know the 1st thing about comptuers, i just use it for surfing the internet..

Thanks

Sounds like the power supply.

No, the giant metal box in the back.

So i have to go to the manufacturer or computer shop and get it replaced.. Is it worth it or just get a new computer?

It's fairly inexpensive to replace, but if the system is as old as you say it may be worth buying a new one. 5 to 6 years is very old and performance for even very basic tasks such as word processor and internet browsing has increased substantially in that time.

That's what I recommended about two weeks ago in this thread.
