Well, I've finished picking out parts for my new Gaming Computer, I mainly followed Carbons guide to finding the right stuff. However, I need to pick out a Case / PSU...

I'm having a tough time deciding, theres alot of options and alot of people saying different stuff. Money is an issue with this desktop, and I'm already running short from putting in the 8800GT.

Heres the build:

E8400 Wolfdale 3.0 ghz core 2 duo
Gigabyte GA-P35C MOBO
2gb ddr2 corsair (might upgrade to 4 in the future)
8800gt 512mb
1x hdd 500gb 7200rpm, 1x 160gb 7200rpm

For the case, i'd like something that you can see into, possibly with LED's. For the PSU, I'd like something reliable that won't kill my parts.

Sorry for reposting something that's probably been posted a hundred or more times. I didn't think I'd be able to find someone with this exact build and looking for the same thing as me.

I greatly appreciate any help / responses.

A great case (with blue led fans) would be the Antec 900. Not too pricey either.

Psu, Have a look at the 500w-600w range, Enermax Liberty is a good choice but also have a look at Coolermaster's range of 'Realpower' or The Corsair brand. All three give you bang for your buck.

Thanks. You mention the Coolmaster brand, would something like this COOLER MASTER extreme power 500w work? It's a lot easier on the budget.

It's pretty cheap, but would it get the job done in comparison to the Realpower you suggested? The cheapest Enermax Libery was 92 bucks from Mwave. I understand the PSU is very important, I just want to make sure I'm getting a good deal. =D

It's got the spec's to run your rig, but it's loud, and I do mean loud for a psu, especially when on load.

If you can cope with that then go for it. But I wouldn't.

Thanks for the quick response, after some further research, I like what I see about the Antec Earthwatts EA 500. Can I get your opinion on that please?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371007

Theres a $15 off code, which would make the final price $35 shipped after rebates. I just don't know if I can get it to my house, and get the rebate filled out and sent in by Jan 31st. Do you think that'd be possible? If newegg ships on Sunday, which I doubt they do, I'll have it by Wednesday according to their "guaranteed 3 day Fedex" shipping method. If they don't ship on Sunday, I will get it thursday. If they get it to me quick enough. Thats pushing it, because it has to be mailed the exact day I get it.

UGH!

Definately. Didn't quote Antec in my first post did I. Apologies, that was rather remiss of me.

You can pay $2.99 for "Rush Processing" at newegg which is guaranteed same-day.
