The monitor is going to be your largest draw. Turn it off!

If you're not using a majority of that power, you're running at a horrible efficiency ratio. You're looking at somewhere around $150-$200 a year, depending on your electricity rates.

I would sell the 700W and drop down to a 500W or so if you're not running SLI/Crossfire. Anandtech did a thing on this recently and even buying new most of the cost was recouped within months.

The price will range from 100-250 depending on rates
IF you are not running a server than TURN OFF the computer when you will not be using it overnight or something and TURN OFF the monitor when not in use

Those are best ways to save on electricity.

it depends on how much load % your using. the cost of a computer running 30% load will be much less than if you ran it at 90% load.

For some real cheap power supplies this is not actually the case, because they waste so much electricity anyway.

This is especially true with the high wattage, cheap PSUs. People think that the extra Ws just won't be used if not needed, but the truth is that they are just producing unneeded electricity.

it was estimated that 2x 7950x2 GPU's and one of the top of the line AMD CPU's (for back then that is- when the 7950x2 was the best card that nVidia had) it was estimated that you would spend about $100+ a year to power it if you gamed on it a lot. You would think modern cards would use more power than the old ones, so if you think about it you could be spending more like $150+ with a modern hi end card. (i based my info off of a Alienware PC review i read back then)
